Understanding Our Policing Problem And Offering Solutions
We can't keep crying "racism" or "underfunding." We need to talk IQ tests in recruitment and technology, not endless "training" on white supremacy or "racism" and other rackets
Now that enough time has passed since the Tyre Nichols incident, I think it’s safe to talk about what I really want to say about policing. You might think I am a coward for waiting to write about it and I wouldn’t dissuade you from this line of thinking. The last time I weighed in on the role of foreign actors causing riots in major cities I ended up losing my Twitter account for seven years so I’m a little skittish.
There are so many things to be said about what passes for policing in the United States that’s it is often hard to know where to begin. I think, though, it’s best to start at the moment that a police officer becomes a police officer — at recruitment.
Every soldier takes an IQ test. I took the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) in high school. I scored a 99 percentile and was selected for “military intelligence.” Conversations with my grandfather dissuaded me from enlisting. He recommended that I do ROTC if I was interested in military service. (Later he even discouraged me against ROTC, telling me that we need good men and women in the intelligence services. “The wars of the future will be fought with satellites—and brains,” he said. He opposed Bush’s wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.)
I’ve more or less become convinced that the wars have followed the soldiers home and it is they who now patrol our streets. When it comes to those conflicts, we are encouraged to import the wars or other countries’ occupations.
When you deliberately hire the dumbest applicants to be cops you get exactly what you’d expect—just another criminal gang. The cops in Memphis were as much victims of that stuff as Tyre Nichols and they were “trained” by hostile foreign intelligence.
Let’s review the video. The dumb cops discuss using a taser on Tyre. Who manufactures that? That would be Axon, which is currently suing the FTC over its own lawless conduct.
As fate would have it I have some experience with Axon. I tried to get Axon — which manufactures tasers and the body cameras — to work with me on facial recognition. They weren’t interested. But it’s obviously true that if a smart cop had facially recognized Tyre Nichols he’d maybe still be alive.
Indeed there’s some evidence that it was precisely because one of the dumb cops knew who Tyre Nichols was that he ended up getting abused. No amount of training will prevent a lover’s quarrel. Better analysis of conflicts of interests in policing just might but I doubt it. The heart wants what it wants and men do crazy things when they are cuckolded. In some states you can even legally kill a man you find in bed with your woman.
I mean how dumb do you have to be to beat someone and then text a photo of it?
The trick isn’t to have cameras AFTER the fact but to ID Tyre Nichols as what he was — a loving father and photographer — and not to have the gang unit (itself a gang) wandering around cracking heads.
There’s a hostile foreign intelligence angle here too. The reason the Memphis police seem like a gang is because they are a gang and they have been given technology and training which was developed for the Palestinian occupation. We need to stop importing foreign spyware into America, especially when that tech doesn’t work and perhaps even more especially when it does.
A criminal justice system that does not focus on all crimes but only focuses on some crime will look for skulls to crack. The cops have to get a lot smarter and that requires that they have a lot more information. This is where the new law enforcement technology will come from.
You can have all the technology in the world but if you have dumb criminal cops you’re going to get dumb criminal behavior. And then you’ll get real tyranny, a tyranny of the sort that unregistered foreign agents Bill Barr and Rod Rosenstein released on the American public. (Oh, you didn’t know the Federalist Society was a Chisraeli front?)
When understood in this context it’s not at all surprising that Memphis has over a 140 unsolved murders. The anti-gang cop gang is looking for altercations to fulfill the worst predilections, not seeking to solve murders. You get what you pay for.
Some years ago I worked for someone I would learn worked for a foreign intelligence outfit. He was looking for corrupt police departments — not to try fixing them as he said — but to try to help them stay corrupt. A corrupt cop is easy to compromise and to weaponize against the American people. Just ask McGonigal of the FBI. You don’t really think he was alone do you?
There are real solutions beyond a badly run police state. It costs $7500 to solve a murder. Memphis will assuredly pay $1m plus to Tyre Nichols’s family. What if it had spent that money to solve all 140+ murders in Memphis? Let’s techify the police.
This cannot be allowed to happen anymore. We must end the Palestinization of black Americans (or perhaps even Uighurization of black America).
.
What we ought to really think seriously about is how it was that George Floyd begat riots while Tyre Nichols’s protests were actually mostly peaceful.
I think we need to talk a little bit more about what triggers riots and who benefits from them. I’ve elsewhere called the 2020 riots the “opportunity zone” or “Kushner riots” and indeed the evidence is quite compelling when you look at the maps. The way it works is that the rioters burn down the key areas, Jared Kushner calls off the National Guard, and Chinese money flows through Jewish developers (and Trump donor) hands.
It’s my contention that a lot of the actions against Representative Ilhan Omar stem from the fact that there’s a concerted effort to take over her district’s opportunity zones.
Yes, we need to talk about the ways in which domestic gangs were encouraged to damage American cities by our adversaries and we need to celebrate the law enforcement efforts that went into decapitating those gangs.
You need to understand that Ferguson happened because foreign actors wanted to deny us the ability to build a western campus of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. You need to understand that Charlottesville happened because foreign actors wanted to put pressure on the University of Virginia, a place where we train a lot of our intelligence community.
The reason I started Clearview was to make it so that everyone was quicker to take photos rather than take shots at perps. If you’re shooting pictures and not people you’re in a safer world with vastly more information, empathy, and accountability.
There are 20 million concealed carry license holders in America and yet we aren’t allowed to own facial recognition products. We are encouraged to shoot first and ask questions later.
Tyre Nichols was a photographer who understood the power of the image. If cops had Clearviewed him instead of beating him they might have learned more about him. They might have had to confront his human dignity. Yes, I am of the view that every clearviewed photo should show people with their kids or pets. Technology must help build empathy — or it’ll destroy all of us.
We’re learning from the rise of open source intelligence world that community protection is a public responsibility.
We can do better.
Good piece .
