Russian Mob Versus Russian Deep State: Sequoia's Shaun Maguire Is A National Security Risk and Russia's Andrey Belousov Is An Opportunity
Is the whole category of venture capital just done?
I’m not a subscriber to The Information — mostly on principle as I don’t go for the Zionist propaganda which masquerades as serious analysis — but I did read with close attention the recent piece about Sequoia partner Shaun Maguire whose national security risks ought to occasion his immediate firing from Sequoia. (Thanks to the friend who sent it to me, gratis.)
The piece is titled “The Musk Whisperer” and indeed Maguire seems to have an unusually close relationship with both Musk and Musk’s erstwhile protectors, Netanyahu’s IDF.
Of course that alliance may be shifting after Musk went to China. I’ve read Musk’s decision to restore the accounts of controversial figures as Musk serving the Chinese who seek to destabilize the United States ahead of the 2024 election. It’s not terribly complicated. The Chinese know the ADL (which is an IDF front) dislikes Nick Fuentes so they are having their ally Elon restore his account. Netanyahu’s allies in the US Congress came for Tik Tok so Xi told Elon to free the troublemakers.
I digress. Let’s turn back to Maguire.
Immediately after October 7th there was a concerted effort to push Shaun Maguire’s pro-Likud content by the IDF-connected employees at Musk’s X. This promotion could well have had a lot to do with the fact that Musk’s entire Trust & Safety team, especially the Dublin office, is IDF affiliated.
For his part Maguire promotes human traffickers like Andrew Tate. We should be asking why that is.
Now Maguire is married to an Iranian Jewess and there’s nothing more insufferable than a Zionist by marriage. You should have to earn this stuff, preferably in uniform.
For what it’s worth, though, I think the focus on Maguire’s IDF-stanning ignores his more subtle connections to the Iranian and Russian-Jewish worlds.
One of the claims of Sequoia Capital under Roelof Botha is that “they’re done with China.” You could even see Botha before the Hill and the Valley event.
The central problem is that Sequoia is being misled about what constitutes the national interest by the Thiel-Lonsdale-Wolfe network.
In the hyper turn against China it looks like Sequoia has gone straight into the arms of the Russian and Israeli mob.
There are quite a bit of things where American interests and Chinese interests coincide — namely sensor technology and climate change.
The U.S. and China may well even want to help other countries become empires simply so that they don't have to wade into areas for which they are ill-equipped. To some extent the Chinese are doing just that with Russia whilst we’re doing our best with Türkiye (and Turan). Have you noticed how pro-Kazakhstan our State Department has become as of late?
There are a few curious details that the piece omitted about the firms Maguire backs. A dear friend of mine has suggested that there’s the commonality is Russian ties.
Austen Allred, co-founder of BloomTech and in trouble with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Austen speaks Russian and did his Mormon mission in Russia.
SpinLaunch — The former CEO was a part of a weird cult and was recently replaced. His brother lived in Russia for a time, as I believe he did too.
Escape Dynamics — a failed launch company Maguire cofounded with the very Russian Dmitriy Tseliakhovich.
Expanse — sold to the very Israeli Palo Alto Networks, itself tied in closely with the IDF’s Unit 8200.
IonQ — failed after being dumped on the public markets. Lots of Quantum companies are really Russian.
Twitter/X — Maguire pushed for Sequoia to back it — only to have it collapse in value since the investment.
StarLink — SpaceX’s Starlink. Even here it looks like Maguire missed the rocket ship, as it were. The finances for Starlink suggest it is struggling mightily—and that’s before we get to Musk’s own ties to the Russian-Jewish mafia through figures like Igor Kurganov.
Right around the time that Maguire was removed from Google Ventures was right around the time that the U.S. intelligence community got a lot more interested in turning Google.
I’ve long thought that Patrick Collison as the go-between for Europe, America and Israel but I think I ignored the longstanding historic ties between Ireland and Russia. The weirdness around Stripe can be seen in the hesitancy of the firm to IPO. Human trafficker (and Greg Abbott donor) Matt Michelsen wanted to help Russian front Rebekah Mercer invest in Stripe.
If we had a responsible press in this country they’d do a real inquiry into the Brothers Collison but we’re not there yet. What’s up with all the weird offsite meetings? The publishing house? Why are they so close to Israeli spy Daniel Gross? What’s the deal with the Tyler Cowen relationship, itself problematic given all the money “donated” by Russian-Jewish mobster Barre Seid?
There’s also this weird Maguire connection with Regina Duggan, now the head of the Wellcome Trust — a sort of front for Tory science. Duggan had gotten herself in trouble for conflicts of interest at DARPA.
Alas no one really takes DARPA seriously these days. In-Q-Tel has much the same problem. If you say you are the CIA’s venture fund you will most assuredly be penetrated by foreign actors. The real intelligence community doesn’t look anything like you’d imagined. Thank God.

Whereas Shaun Maguire can credibly be seen as a front for the Russian-Jewish mafia, Andrey Belousov is the Russian deep state par excellence. His elevation is a sign that Putin has had a final victory over the Russian mob — something we long predicted here. Just take a gander at this 2022 piece I wrote.
To some extent conservatives have been misled into who is and who isn’t important in Russia. Some of that is the fault of Chinese-, Israeli-, and even British-backed propaganda who neglected real mention of Andrey Belousov.
That the Russians didn’t really respond to the assassination of Dugin’s daughter might suggest that she wasn’t nearly as important as American Russophiles (and Russophobes) would suggest. As I have argued elsewhere I think the Russians were more or less cool with Dugin being whacked.
Curiously both Maguire and Belousov share an interest in drone warfare — though Maguire favors the Chinese-backed companies and Belousov is seemingly more interested in a domestic Russian drone industry.
Many of my dear friends are products of what you might call the Russian civil service. Among them my childhood best friend growing up now works on biostatistics and genomics work for the World Health Organization.
My childhood pediatrician was a lovely Russian woman who instructed me in her thick Russian accent that “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” and that Ann Coulter was correct about Joe McCarthy.
Meritocracy. The Russians take it seriously. One of the things that I think you could credibly argue is that the Russians invest a lot in human capital. They state direct. They have gifted and talented programs. They take and support genius. To be fair they tend to be great theoreticians but rather weak at production.
Historically this has led to some rather interesting relationships between the United States and Russia, especially in jet propulsion technology and space.
There’s no reason we couldn’t add drones to that list.
