The Souls of Mormonfolk: Elon Musk, Jeff Flake and the Future of American Aerospace and the Mountain West
Choosing the Right means choosing the right, moral people to lead our technological development
I met Flake briefly when he was serving as ambassador to Türkiye but we have had many friends in common over the years. Some years ago I even published his master’s thesis at BYU about Robert Mugabe which I have floating around my home office somewhere or other. Flake, I noted when I found the thesis, got Mugabe terribly wrong but then a lot of people did.
I’ve followed Flake’s career since I was in college — one of my classmates used to work out with Flake in Arizona — and I agreed with him entirely about ending the embargo with Cuba. So I’m not the least bit surprised that he has endorsed Kamala Harris, who, as a former prosecutor, is the Law & Order candidate this election.
Flake’s argument that he is supporting Kamala Harris not despite but due to his being a conservative Republican is starting to resonate especially among my LDS friends who aren’t terribly convinced of Trump’s virtues.
Will this work in the swing states of Arizona or Nevada? I don’t know but there was a recent CBC/Radio-Canada segment about the Mormons supporting Harris.
Only in America could we have a coalition of patriotic Mormons, the Black deep state and single women that could come together in save the Republic.
I’m a fan of Senator Jeff Flake but don’t we feel a little bit disappointed in Mitt Romney for not endorsing Kamala Harris?
And where’s Chris Christie in this moment? If Trump is a threat to democracy where are you when it matters?
Surely Christie understands that there are lots of Republican criminals who will need someone to mediate between them and the Harris administration?
Throughout my life my Mormon friends have always sent me information and the Mormon friends I have, believing and lapsed, I cherish greatly. I’m not a hater of any creed or race. The beefs I have are very specific.
But this particularly and peculiarly American faith also has its share of criminals and some of those criminals have been especially effective at stealing from people, myself included. No faith has a monopoly on truth nor is immune from its share of criminals.
The Mormon criminals who have targeted me taught me a side of the faith that I wasn’t expecting. Much of this began when the U.S. government launched the Department of Homeland Security which is itself a very Mormon and very Russian Jewish operation.
For example: You might wonder, as I do, about the role of Boeing’s automatic flight controls, the Israeli and Saudi involvement in the 9-11 or how there was seemingly an effort to kill Mitt Romney who just so happened was expected to be at the World Trade Center that very morning.
Part of the reason I ultimately came around to supporting the U.S. aid to Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan is because I knew that it was a takeover of the IDF’s backend.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu feared such a takeover because it limited his power and so he advised his allies in the U.S. Congress to vote against it.
What if I were to tell you that there's a group of Secret Mormons who are infiltrating American technology companies on behalf of foreign governments?
What if they were kidnapping powerful people’s kids through the family courts or stealing information right off their phones with Israeli technology?
Anyway I recently read an article about Elon and his compound for his baby mamas.
Could Musk get anymore Mormon I asked?
This wasn’t so much a dare as it was an observation and Musk has all the argot as he talks about “Judeo-Christian values.” You should understand Christian nationalism as a kind of op.
Even the sweepstakes contests are reminiscent of how pro-January 6th (and Mormon) Andy Biggs won the money that helped set him up to run for Congress.
Discuss amongst yourself if Kevin McCarthy was similarly selected by the Mormon world when he allegedly won the lottery. (For what its’ worth I’ve long suspected that the Southern Baptist Convention was infiltrated by Mormons.) McCarthy and Musk were quite close and when McCarthy fell Musk was left without a serious congressional patron except
Tim Ballard was purportedly involved with Musk too. Ballard — part of the very Mormon Department of Homeland Security — was especially close with Angel Studios, the Mormon-owned film studio backed by the Austin-based GigaFund, which led a $47m round into the company.
GigaFund was started by Steve Oskoui and Luke Nosek, who are the second largest investors in SpaceX. Giga Fund also backed Austen Allred in his company, Bloom Technologies, which has been accused of fraudulent and criminal behavior by several government agencies. Allred, who is fluent in Russian from his missionary work in Donetsk, is Mormon royalty.
The connections with the LDS church go deeper still. The Mormon Church owned 10 percent or so of Tesla stock.
One of my former FBI handler (and ex-Mormon) Johnathan Buma asked to be connected to Birchall. I complied. And again, Birchall got fired for “sending correspondence to a client without management approval” before he became Musk’s fixer.
Oskoui demanded that I return the personal check he had invested in Traitwell once I had started writing about Elon’s ties to foreign governments and organized crime. Neither Luke Nosek nor Steve Oskoui paid me for the money they invested in a genomics company despite me acting as a scout for them.
In the evangelical tradition what matters most is beliefs but is that really true for the Mormons? Is someone Mormon if they take on the habits, if not the beliefs, of Mormonism?
One of the things that becomes readily apparent when you talk to these Mormons is that they enjoy the ideas of the faith going mainstream even if its wackier tenants don’t.
My own family were followers of Joseph Smith — that is until Smith supported polygamy and had a private army. That’s when they got with the Union and brought Smith to justice.
There are two edicts that Mormons must follow — Choose the Right and Follow the Prophets — but what happens if the prophets choose wrong? They are, in fact, men.
The same could be said of a lot of our tech moguls who have taken on a kind of secular and sometimes not so secular view that they might be pharaohs or even gods.
Having your own planet? Living in a compound on the outskirts of town?
LDS doctrine includes multiple gods and extraterrestrials. It’s hard not to notice how many of the UFO seem to occur both near military bases and in Mormon country.

Musk has made illusion to his support for Wernher von Braun, the Nazi scientist who helped Hitler and Kennedy respectively.
Less well covered is how Braun was a convert to evangelical Christianity. How sincere a conversion that was, I think God alone can say, but it was certainly well-timed.
Given what we’ve already discussed with Ballard infiltrating the Protestant churches I want you to consider the very real possibility that Braun’s conversion was opportunistic and that he was, in fact, Mormon.
There are quite a number of secret Mormons in Huntsville. Mo Brooks, who had a starring role in the Stop the Steal effort, is a Mormon from Huntsville.
Braun starred in a Mormon theological film about space, The Search for Truth.
Could it be that both the remnants of Nazi Germany and Mormonism had an interest in the latest American technology to change the status quo to suit their own purposes?
Might the obsession with the latest drone, satellite, airplane or rocket technology have been an outgrowth of that effort?
There are quite a number of us who believe that Walt Disney himself might have been a secret Mormon, which raises all kinds of questions about this photo.

It’s also easy to see Elon Musk as the second coming of Howard Hughes, a figure that I have only recently spent a lot of time exploring.
To be fair I was always a bit worried that I might have a touch of whatever made Howard Hughes how he was. I tend to obsess and the oil parallels with my great-grandfather — Charles C. Carlisle — and the Hughes family are a little too obvious. Yes, Deseret took over my great-grandfather’s company.
We’re taught that Hughes was eccentric and indeed he was but I sometimes wonder if he wasn’t a bit of a hostage too.
We have a very hard time talking about the degree to which wealthy people are taken advantage of. We have a harder time still talking about how some of them want to be taken advantage of.
You might also wonder how many criminal ops get run around successful people and how the wealthy person is trapped by these criminal networks. If he speaks out, maybe they’ll even kill his lover.
And given the Mormon penetration of the FBI and the CIA who could help them anyway? Better to pay off the mob and continue as is.
Before long you start to notice all of this stuff. You’ll notice that there are a lot of Mormon kidnappings and that this goes way back in time. Everyone knows about the Huntsman kidnapping but there’s a Mormon connection to the Hearst kidnapping story too.
You can think of Deseret taking a toll on all the traffic over its lands. You can also think of it being obsessed with relics. The Netflix docuseries Murder Among the Mormons (2021) is about this pathological desire to collect everything and where it ultimately winds up.
The danger of the present moment is monoculture — one size fits all approaches — we need to do what we can to resist that. French president Macron’s defense against monoculture is a part of that effort. A monoculture is almost by definition introducing systemic risk into the system. A single point of failure. Vive la difference.
So we can’t have a bunch of cult leaders having dozens and dozens of children. And that includes Musk and Pavel Durov who are both being tamed by France.
This is a regime question but it’s also a public health one. We’re going to need a genetic surveillance state keeping tabs on who is related to or there’s going to be real problems real fast.

France has been late to investing in the kinds of technologies necessary to protect the world. That, of course, has been changing and the new CEO of OVH — France’s equivalent of Amazon Web Services — is a welcome departure from their usual business.
My understanding is that Benjamin Revcolevschi is of Polish heritage, which makes sense because the language of the Polish court was French. The quiet alliance between Poland and France against Germany and the United Kingdom will increasingly dominate our politics.
Isn’t it curious that no one really has profiled the Polish-Jewish First Gentleman and his family? Might it be because our media is too weird, too Russian Jewish and too German Jewish?
You’re not supposed to notice these differences between the Jewish communities. You’re supposed to believe that the Antidefamation League speaks for all the Jews. But of course that’s ridiculous. Jews fight among each other all the time.
France — and the French Jews who help lead it — are very much in control of what happens in Europe and their new attention to the latest technology is extremely important.
France has have important things to teach the world. I’d argue that the greatest leader of our time is Emmanuel Macron. He really is without parallel.
Voilà!
Some of the early Clearview investors also had a French connection but that’s a story for another time.
You can get a sense of that if you watch the documentary about me and Clearview which won France’s top prize.
At the end of the documentary there’s a lot of discussion about genetics and Abraham Lincoln.
For now it’s sufficient to know that France is starting to pay attention to genetics—something it has long neglected. Steve Sailer — who is terribly Israeli inclined — noticed this back in 2001 but Sam Kean has a pretty exhaustive reasoning for why France was suspicious of Darwin.
France fell because it over-invested in a Maginot Line that proved ill-suited for German aviators or paratroopers. La Résistance to Nazism began then and it has never ended. My grandfather Dwight L. Johnson was a part of this effort when he worked for the Office of Naval Intelligence in Paris.
After the war Georges Doriot became a key investor in American technology and even backed George H. W. Bush’s offshore oil efforts. We’ve taken on capital de risque elsewhere on this substack.
France spied on America for the Soviet Union, especially on aviation matters, and it’s fair to say that Samuel Pisar, Antony Blinken’s stepfather, acted as a kind of bridge between the Soviet and American worlds.
France cannot keep her commitments to her overseas territories without superior aerospace technology.
That tradition of aerospace continues to this day with Skydweller Aero which has cemented an alliance with France.
In my own case Jean-Paul Gut of Airbus fame was spying on John Burbank who we have talked about previously and who stole a bunch of money from the wrong Russians.
Umbra cofounder Gabe Dominocello told me about how it was the French who were spying on Umbra, the synthetic aperture radar satellite company I had backed.
Hal Lambert is currently suing me over the special purpose vehicle he and I did over Umbra He’s being backed by John Burbank, who we have discussed elsewhere. I introduced Hal and John Burbank to Umbra, a synthetic aperture radar company based in Santa Barbara and Austin.
The law firm which Hal has hired is Quinn Emanuel which was started by John Quinn, a Utah Mormon who attended Claremont McKenna College. (I graduated in 2011.)
Quinn lives in Pasadena which is where a lot of the Mormons, Armenian and the Chinese worlds intersect. I used to live there too but that moment has passed.
Business Insider says that Quinn makes all of the decisions at his law firm but something tells me that that’s not what happened here. I think that things were run around him.
Will Thompson — the Quinn Emanuel partner who is filing the suits against me — is relatively young and he hails from Western Montana, a sort of Mormon stronghold. Thompson’s speciality is oil and gas which is not exactly the stuff of satellites.
His client is Hal Lambert who has reportedly been very close to Robert O’Brien, the controversial National Security Advisor and Mormon convert.
So here’s the deal: I have all the receipts on all of this stuff. I’ve already talked to both American and foreign Allied intelligence about it,
Don’t make me call Emmanuel Macron on Quinn Emanuel, okay?
