The Recruitment Of Peter Thiel: A Closer Look at The Billionaire's Ties To Senator J.D. Vance and the U.S. Intel Community
If Thiel is so happy with Vance getting the nod, why hasn't he donated to the Trump Super PAC?

“Peter keeps telling me that Putin’s a bad guy,” J. D. Vance told me in one of our many conversations before he advanced to the Senate and now the GOP vice presidential nomination.
But Vance was more inclined to David Sacks’s point of view than Peter’s. Vance has called Sacks a “confidante” but Peter a “friend.” Sacks is deeply tied into the Russian mafia while Peter is more closely associated with U.S. intelligence.
Peter has, I’m reliably informed, been funding all manner of covert projects in Ukraine despite Vance’s opposition to American involvement.
To some extent I’m to blame for helping Vance with the Senate nomination. My erstwhile political ally Matt Gaetz got Trump to endorse Vance in large measure due to my pestering.
But before that my father and I met Thiel at the Dallas home of Adam Ross around Thanksgiving 2021. We were traveling across country and stopped in for a Blake Masters fundraiser.
“Don’t even bother spending the money if you can’t get the Trump endorsement,” I told Thiel. I gave him regular advice on politics and the intelligence world. We bonded over a shared dislike of the Manhattan-Based Terrorist Organization, a.k.a. Gawker.
Peter promised supporting my startups — some of which are in Ukraine right now! — but money was never terribly forthcoming, especially from the very compromised Founders Fund. (I’ve called for a counterintelligence investigation — more on that in a moment.)
I was tired of the blacklisting I had endured due to Thiel’s ties to the Netanyahu government. (You should know that the German world of which Peter’s a part has since broken up with Netanyahu. Germany still remains the second largest supplier of arms to Israel.)
I had also been disturbed by Thiel’s repeated ties to the Russians through the Austrian world. Thiel was especially close to Christian Angermayer and did business with him. Angermayer has since been forced out of the U.K. due to his ties to money laundering service, Wirecard.
Our relationship soured when I was a source for Max Chafkin’s book, The Contrarian, and fractured almost completely when I recruited and outed Thiel as a confidential informant for the FBI. To the extent we communicate now it’s through intermediaries which is how both of us like it.
I wish Peter well, despite his compromise, and I hope he appreciates the degree to which there were real risks taken to see to it that he didn’t get scapegoated by the Biden government.
Still, there are many things that have been misreported about that recruitment (probably because the reporter Mattathias Schwartz has his own issues and biases).
The condition for Thiel was to be out of politics and he has honored that deal so he — and perhaps he alone — will survive the coming counterintelligence sweep of Silicon Valley.
Peter should thank me for that. But he doesn’t have to. It’s understood.
For his part Thiel told Andrew Ross Sorkin that he will vote for Trump “if you had a gun to my head.”
This, of course, raises the obvious question of who has a gun to his head.
Let me suggest several options.
There was a kind of fan fiction story written about why Thiel exited politics that Teddy Schleifer wrote in Puck News.
Owing to its backers, Puck News is an Israeli interesting publication that never gets the story quite right but is well worth reading to show what the Likud world is thinking.
Schleifer’s piece argues that a political operation headed by David Brock was targeting Thiel’s love life and in particular his kept lover, Jeff Thomas, a sort of all-American social media influencer that Peter put up in the home he had purchased from the Russian-Jewish NXIVM cult.
Thomas fell to his death occurred in a property owned by the Qataris, who we know finance terrorism and Netanyahu (but I repeat myself). Thomas left no note nor had he made any accommodations for his beloved dog — a rare thing among suicides.
More disturbing yet, Thomas shared text messages that people were trying to “get him” with loved ones in his final days. Miami Police Department had initially investigated the death as a homicide but quickly moved on. (Ironically Peter turned down investing in a genetics lab which could have put the case to rest.)
Do you think Peter Thiel, who plotted revenge against Gawker for years, might want revenge on the people who murdered his lover?
What would be the best way to get that revenge? Maybe it’s trapping all the Russian Jewish criminal cash in Silicon Valley in a failed Trump campaign.
You might even get Joe Lonsdale to run the Super PAC. Joe would be ideal. After all his brother was investigated by the FBI and he’s running around with Jeb Bush. Did I mention Lonsdale was a major investor in fraudulent company Ubiome, which stole millions from Americans? The fugitive founders wed and absconded to Germany where they, under the guise of being persecuted, said they were Jews whose family had fled the Holocaust. To protect himself Lonsdale hired bankruptcy lawyer Gibson Dunn. Lonsdale also has Putin’s chief of staff as an investor.
I’ve always seen Thiel as operating on two or three levels. He’s not really American but he hates those who hate America.
I’ve called for a counterintelligence investigation of Founders Fund but increasingly you get the sense that the firm has been ordered to implode. How else to explain the strange investment in Nate Silver or whatever is really going on with Trae Stephens?
Rabois is gone back to the Indians.
The logs from the Jeffrey Epstein files are suggestive:
The logs show that in September 2014, Epstein's schedule listed Thiel under 'people to see'.
The two men met for dinner at Epstein's New York mansion on the 12th with Woody Allen present, the schedule says.
The following day Epstein met Thiel on his own from 2pm to 4pm after which Bill Burns, the current director of the CIA who was deputy secretary of state at the time, joined them for an hour.
The day after that, Epstein planned a lunch and said that 'maybe Peter Thiel' would come.
The two men were scheduled for lunch the following week and the entry lists Thiel's personal assistant and their number.
I’ve written about Epstein’s sex life elsewhere. Look close and the “gay Epstein” theory is the most likely.
But do you think that Epstein and Thiel were talking about “pussy” with the future director of the CIA?
Or is something more interesting going on here?
This is admittedly a bit of an inside joke. (Call me Mark.)
Mark Epstein said his brother told him that if he had to testify in the future, he "would've had fun with it" and "channeled" Brett Kavanaugh during the now Supreme Court justice's Senate confirmation hearings.
"You know when Kavanaugh was going through his confirmation hearings and he said to the senator: 'Senator, I like beer. My friends like beer. Do you like beer, Senator?'" Mark Epstein said.
"So Jeffrey said he's going to channel Kavanaugh and say: 'Senator, I like pussy. My friends like pussy. Do you like pussy, Senator?'" he said.
Consider that he may not have liked pussy at all. Isn’t it obvious that Les Wexner, the gay Jewish mafioso turned real estate agent and CIA asset, and he were lovers?
But Epstein may certainly have liked stinging and recruiting billionaires.
Might that also explain the sudden about-face also explain what was going on with Reid Hoffman and Jeffrey Epstein?
A few days ago I called for Hoffman to fire Dmitri Mehlhorn, someone I have long argued was a counterintelligence nightmare.
Now we see that Hoffman has fired Mehlhorn.
I understand that Thiel has fired some of his advisers too, largely at my prompting.
As you know, this is just a blog and I’m just a private citizen.
