Love him or hate him, Donald Trump has a way of putting things. When the former president recently called Elon Musk a “bullshit artist” in Anchorage he was tagging Musk with one of those fabled linguistic kill shots we’ve come to expect. Bullshit is a powerful moniker, especially for those whose business interests are altogether opaque, and I suppose it takes one to know one.
Now that the Chinese money is flowing back to China, you should bet against a lot of Silicon Valley. Musk is the loudest, but by no means only, example.
You heard it here first, folks. I predicted that Musk would not be buying Twitter and that he would, in fact, be trapped in years of litigation with Twitter. So I predicted, so it has come to pass. Twitter is not a business; Twitter is a battlefield.
If Musk falls who will pick up the pieces? Peter Thiel and David Sacks.
Sacks, I think, set Elon up. He called Elon’s purchase of Twitter a “Berlin Wall” moment. (We will turn to that language when we examine Sacks in more detail in a subsequent post, titled, tentatively, “David Sacks, the neocon billionaire.”)
The electric company Bird shows what is in store for Tesla — total collapse. Bird is down something like 80-90 percent from its listing price. The second largest investor in Bird is none other than David Sacks. Bird has totally collapsed now that the electric scooter company has been denied rare earths. The same sort of thing is happening to Tesla now, especially as the Pentagon plans to boost it stockpile of rare minerals. Musk has traveled the world trying to find source of essential rare earths to keep Tesla running now that he’s been kicked out of the Democratic Republic of Congo. He’s gone to Luhut Pandjaitan, who I once met at the UN, to get them from Indonesia and he’s tried his hand in Brazil. No real luck in either place.
Worse yet I’m credibly informed that Musk has gone out of his way to try to block competitors from getting funding, competitors which rely on fewer rare earths. Musk’s sale of $8B in stock from Tesla was a clever move on his part. Was he using the fake Twitter deal as a cover to unwind from Tesla?
Musk’s ties to the Mexican cartels and to Ukrainian organized crime haven't really been focused upon. Is he like DeLorean?
Musk freaked out about a young man tracking his plane wherever he went. There’ve long been rumors that Musk has ties to organized crime and the cartels. For what it’s worth, I think the cartel activity takes place through his mother and brother. This is a crime family. Why else would Maye Musk travel and meet Ukrainian oligarchs?
Follow Musk’s plane and find what he’s up to. Is it normal that the richest man in the world is traveling to cartel territories without security? Is it normal to head to Cabo as much as he does?
Musk has also been compromising ex-law enforcement. A friend of mine from the CIA told me about all the crimes that Musk asked him to commit. My friend did not commit the crimes and left working for Elon shortly thereafter. But others did go and work for him. Among them is Derrick Taylor, a former DHS employee turned private investigator, who faces 25 years in prison after working with China to spy on Chinese dissidents in the United States.
“After my tenure with DHS, I served three years as the personal Security Specialist to Elon Musk at SpaceX,” Taylor’s description on his website says. “I specialize in asset and bank account searches, background searches, criminal and civil investigations. My company is based in Irvine and I service the entire State of California.”
Did Taylor commit any crimes while in the service of Elon Musk? I bet we will find out.
The Chinese giveth and the Chinese taketh away. Why would the Chinese help Elon? Don’t they have their own national champions to tend to?
There are real problems going on in China. Their banking sector is imploding. You can feel this as you travel around the Chinese-American areas of the United States where for sale signs predominate.
That weird lawsuit between Musk and Lin Wood seems quite interesting.
Musk was sued by Lin Wood, who was formerly a lawyer representing Steve Wynn, for his pedo guy comments. Wood threatened to reveal everything he knew about Steve Wynn.
Wynn has been forced to register as a Chinese asset under FARA. Were the Chinese using the Wood lawsuit as a means of collecting money from Musk? We don’t do redistribution in America through the legislature but we do do it through the courts.
All of this raises larger questions:
How much of our focus on Musk as tech savior has stopped us from investing in and backing real solutions to the problems we currently face?
Given how much of our understanding of what it means to be a public intellectual comes from billionaires like Elon Musk, what will a world look like when he is exposed as a fraud?
Some friends of mine put together a great piece which lays out the facts.

Supply one” Albert Pike
With which Ukrainian oligarchs did Maye Musk meet? I can find no proof of this allegation (she has a Ukrainian publisher and has championed Ukraine's cause in the ongoing war, but that's a far cry from being connected to organized crime)
