A recent declaration by a federal judge that Google is a monopoly should make us think a bit about monopoly. Do we really have a lot to show for Google’s monopolistic practices? Not really. In fact we have precious little to show for it at all.
This wasn’t always the case. Monopoly profits were used to subsidize genius and technological development. J. P. Morgan gave us Thomas Alva Edison. We might consider Bell Labs which gave us Silicon Valley itself.
It’s become my contention that in the post-World War II era what a number of countries perfected wasn’t R&D but an espionage capability which looted the more advanced technical societies of America and the Soviet Union. These countries turned to expert smugglers, especially from the organized crime background. These smugglers, in turn, made tremendous profits and built private empires which govern our politics, steal our natural resources. If you have the view that many venture capitalists are, in fact, thieves or foreign adversaries or both, then it becomes a lot easier to justify confiscatory taxes and much needed regulations on their behavior.
It’s far easier to steal from a genius than to build one up. Indeed when you realize that the world’s superpowers try to control each others’ geniuses much of technological development begins to make sense.
After all, R&D is hard and to some extent very hard to actually capture the value. How do you keep anything truly secret in an era of smart phones or hacking to say nothing of in-person threat actors?
In our own time you’ll find that many New York book publishers, Hollywood script readers or Silicon Valley venture capitalists are there to steal what you’ve been working on. Peter Thiel laments the lack of American progress. Maybe he with his fake companies is directly to blame?
In a pre-Internet era much of the espionage occurred through salons and magazines. I’ve been doing quite a bit of research over the years and I have never encountered an FBI file quite so voluminous as that of Robert Maxwell.
Since the death of Jeffrey Epstein Robert Maxwell’s own dealings have occasioned further revelations. Insofar as I can tell no one has yet gone through that 1300+ FBI file so let’s do that here.
What you’ll see is that Maxwell’s tactics strongly resemble Epstein’s — almost as if both of them have been engaged in a program or a training.
I want you to think about John Brockman, who Epstein lavishly funded, when we’re discussing Maxwell’s efforts to get American nuclear scientists engaged in nuclear espionage. Brockman allowed Epstein to meet with scientists, startup CEOs and tech billionaires
These issues aren’t dead today either. Nuclear espionage and our unwillingness to take it seriously are very much alive.
I also want you to consider Robert DeNiro’s confession that his friend movie producer Arnon Milchan was engaged in nuclear espionage and how the State Department under John Kerry with his compromised assistant Jonathan Winer was instrumental in letting Milchan continue to have a visa.
Winer later tried — and failed — to take over Clearview.AI, the facial recognition company I helped to start. Might it be that Secretary John Kerry’s obsession with carbon credits and trading — unlikely as it is to work — is but another Russian money laundering vehicle? Might Winer’s involvement with the Steele dossier — itself a work of Russian disinformation — suggest a more dangerous background?

The FBI seems to have been alerted to Robert Maxwell’s activities in America when he began calling American nuclear scientists and inquiring into forming an “Anglo-American” “Journal of Nuclear Energy” in 1953.
Among those many American scientists Maxwell called was none other than John von Neumann, then at the Atomic Energy Commission. He professed to have a relationship with Schlumberger, the French-founded drilling company.
How did Maxwell really get his start? Maxwell, who wanted to be Britain's first foreign born prime minister and “the anti-Marx,” claimed his wealth came from shares in a Nazi publishing house which was under control of the British authorities.
For our purposes Maxwell was handled by Sir Charles Hambro, who gave Maxwell’s operation over a million pounds a year. Hambro critically stopped Hitler from getting the Bomb with his work with the Special Operations Executive. Wikipedia of all places is fairly good at talking about Hambro’s work.
At the outbreak of the Second World War, Hambro was placed in charge of activities in Scandinavia, arranging smuggling, intelligence networks and sabotage operations. After the fall of France in June 1940, Hambro was made a colonel on the General Staff and was asked by Ronald Cross to join the Ministry of Economic Warfare, a cover organisation for the Special Operations Executive (SOE).[9] The SOE was charged with creating "a spirit of resistance in occupied territories".[9] Through his contact with Ebbe Munck, an anti-Nazi journalist, Hambro linked up with the Danish resistance, and was knighted as a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his work in 1941. Hambro refused to accept any wages for his military work during wartime.[1]
Between December 1940 and November 1941, Hambro was also in charge of overseeing the French, Belgian, German and Dutch sections of the SOE, and from November 1941 he was deputy leader of SOE for 5 months. In 1942 he succeeded in persuading the British and Norwegian organisations to form a planning commission, which was instrumental in devising Operation Grouse and Operation Swallow, important parts of the Norwegian heavy water sabotage missions. By this time Hambro was on the executive committee of the SOE, and was promoted to Air Commodore. Roundell Palmer, now head of the SOE, appointed him to succeed Frank Nelson. His first major action as head of the SOE was to meet with Colonel William Joseph Donovan, the head of the OSS and his opposite number. A disagreement over actions in the Middle East led Hambro to resign in 1943.
For the rest of the war he acted as head of the "British raw materials mission" in Washington; a cover for exchanging information and technology between Britain and the United States which led to the detonation of the first Atomic Bomb as part of the Manhattan Project.
We’re supposed to believe that Hambro’s work for his country ended after World War II but of course that seems unlikely, especially when Churchill’s government wanted to detonate its own atomic bomb. Hambros banking provided both the financing for Robert Maxwell’s travels—and the cover.
Rather interestingly Hambros Bank became a “diamond bank” — which is to say a money laundering bank — after World War II and was ultimately sold to Société Générale. You’ll see this time and again with the Maxwells — the French Exit. Maxwell himself escaped Auschwitz first to France before going to the United Kingdom.
It makes me wonder if, perhaps, Maxwell’s marriage to a Frenchwoman was a bit more than just love at first sight. Maybe it was — gasp! — arranged! They had nine children together, including Ghislaine who was clearly his favorite. You don’t name your yacht after your least favorite daughter.
Just how French were the Maxwells anyway? To what extent were Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine operating on behalf of France?
Have you ever wondered why we know a lot more about Jeffrey Epstein’s island than say about his ranch near the nuclear lab?
Or how the news of the sale of Epstein’s €10 million luxury apartment in Paris came and went?
We’re supposed to believe that he was friends with Jean-Luc Brunel but maybe he was, in fact, stinging him.
Maybe that’s what Epstein and Maxwell’s real job was — stinging criminals for a cause.
France and Russia’s breakup has had all kinds of geopolitical ramifications. The Russians have put pressure on France by driving up the cost of uranium. Belle France gets 70% of its power from nuclear power. A rise in the price of uranium is a tax on the French economy.
France has retaliated by offering to drive Wagner out of North Africa and Putin out of Ukraine. France has barred Israeli military technology from their defense conferences — only for a French court to overturn the ban after the event took place. And, of course, they’ve been moving weapons to Armenia and serving as the muscle for the Emiratis’s new legionnaire.
When you notice all the celebrities with Ghislaine and then it occurs to you. Oh, right. Ghislaine is half-French.
Consider that Anthony Bourdain, who palled around with French intelligence, died in exactly the same manner as Epstein… Oh, right. You thought it was just a cooking show.
And what about Les Wexner whose ties to France are worthy of further attention…
Now it’s not very sporting for Comey to have his daughter Maureen put Ghislaine in prison because Epstein and Thiel bested Comey back in the day by securing contracts for Palantir over Lockheed Martin…. After all, I have asked this before but do you think that Epstein and Thiel were talking about “pussy” with the future director of the CIA Bill Burns? I sure hope not. As you know Comey went to go work as a talking head on TV. Steve Bannon was a huge Comey fan. Jared Kushner wanted Likud agent Joe Lieberman to replace Comey.
I think what really happened is that Comey was forced out because he was compromised and outplayed by CIA and Mossad.
With Comey out of the way the compromised bits of the FBI could move on Epstein and Ghislaine. Bob Barr, tied in as he is with Opus Dei and the Likud, could help kill Epstein after Ehud Barak entered the second Israeli elections against Netanyahu.
I think there’s a bit of a conflict of interest here re Maureen Comey and Ghislaine Maxwell — certainly more than enough to trigger a new trial.
Were I Maxwell’s attorney Diana Fabi Samson I might note how some compromised FBI agents had been trying to “get” Ghislaine and discover who the “new Epstein” is. I might call upon CHS like a certain Genius who could testify about that sort of thing.
Say isn’t it interesting that South Korean spy Sue Mi Terry works as a talking head for the same network as Comey? I might also look into Terry’s attorney, Lee Wolosky, and his connections with the Likud world and the Tory world. Here he is not quite pictured with Hoan Ton-That, my cofounder at Clearview.AI.
What possible stories could Maxwell have about the money behind Israel/Tory publications like The Atlantic?
I’m sure she has nothing to tell us about how the world really works. So I don’t think anyone will mind if I go testify for her to be released… right? Right?
It’s not like Comey’s FBI was compromised or anything by Likud frontman David Pecker.
These sorts of things always get found out, don’t they?
The Olympics having concluded the French can get back to their real national pastime — revenge.
It’s easy to see who the target might be.
