One of my favorite movies is The Departed (2006). There’s a lot I want to say about it — how the film represents the Harvey Weinstein and Chinese triad takeover of my native Boston, how fake the film really is and how wonderful it is despite its flaws. There’s a lot I want to say but that’ll be for another time and perhaps another life. Didn’t you know that the biggest lie is that you only live once? Many of us have lived many separate lives. We contain multitudes.
There’s a great scene where Billy Costigan, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, gets recruited by the Massachusetts State Police as an undercover agent.
“We have a question: Do you want to be a cop, or do you want to appear to be a cop? It's an honest question. A lot of guys just want to appear to be cops. Gun, badge, pretend they're on TV.”
That’s the scene that came to mind when I consider Hunter Biden.
Yes, I know that the Biden family have a long, well documented history of addiction. And yes, I know that Hunter has long been a problem for President Joe Biden and that in his years of therapy he tells himself a lot of stories.
But what if Hunter got turned?
I suspect Hunter is both a little crazy and more than a little helpful to the good guys.
A commenter writes in on my post on Hunter Biden being a confidential informant.
I’ve lightly edited it.
My thoughts: It seems strange as well to me as well that Biden would join the Navy Reserve at his age, requiring a drug waiver and then immediately failing a drug test afterwards. Seems like that would be the kind of thing you would know not to do. It also seems strange that after failing the drug test in June 2013 he wasn't discharged until February 2014, supposedly still able to take advantage of training in the program. It should be noted that there is no official documentation of Biden failing a drug test. It comes from unnamed sources. Two months after supposedly being kicked out, he's serving simultaneously on the board of Burisma in Ukraine and BHR in China. Biden was originally commissioned as a public affairs officer but the other popular program in the Navy Reserve is for intelligence officer. In this time could he have been groomed for being an intelligence source? If that was the case, it only makes sense that he wouldn't be subject to prosecution. I noted that similarly during the FBI's investigation of Trump's campaign in 2016, Carter Page was the only target not to be prosecuted, he who was previously a CIA informant and another Naval Intelligence officer. Of course it's highly speculative, but still more believable than him being the embarrassing crackhead son of a prominent politician while still proactively working as an international businessman.
Adam Entous told me that…
[Hunter] told me and I published it in the New Yorker profile in 2019 that he says he bummed cigarettes at a bar near the White House the night before. He felt weird on the drive down to Norfolk and called Beau, who drove down and met him at his hotel near the base. Beau then drove him to his first day of duty. Hunter and Beau knew he would undergo a urinalysis. Hunter could have called in sick. Instead he reports to duty and immediately pops positive.
Hunter later told the Navy that he suspected the cigarettes were spiked. He told me the men who gave him the cigarettes were Aussies. Why didn’t he just call in sick if he knowingly used.
The Navy understandably was skeptical of the story. It took a while to expel him because he initially wanted to fight the allegations. He changed his mind when he realized going to a navy tribunal would likely make all of this public.
Could be, could be.
Or perhaps he declined going to a Navy tribunal because he had been recruited to work on something more pressing. Like, say, being a honey pot for foreign intelligence operations in the United States. Which, of course, would target the Second — now First — Family to try to run an influence operation. Such an operation need not have succeeded; it need only appear to have succeeded to a sizable number of Americans. Naturally it helps that Fox News is helping.
Entous is now at the New York Times as an investigative reporter so I’ll be looking to see if he can establish the chain of custody of the laptop.
Then there’s that curious detail about the Aussies. Aussies always show up in the weirdest of places, often doing the bidding of the baddies.
So was Hunter telling the truth about the perfidious Aussies? Haven’t there been other weird Aussies interfering in our elections, like Alexander Downer, the former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom who triggered the FBI’s Russian collusion probe after chatting with George Papadopoulos.
Interestingly Downer has said that Huawei should not be considered a potential national security risk—even going so far as to serve on the board.
Downer’s also praised the country repeatedly. Here’s Downer in 2007:
"China is a good partner of Australia. Whatever the differences there are between us in terms of our political systems, human rights issues, China is a very important part of the strategic architecture, the security architecture of the Asia-Pacific region and it's important we have good forums to discuss any issues of that kind with them.
Hey Siri, who is the richest most pernicious Aussie in the world? That would be Rupert Murdoch, who is Chisrael’s man from Melbourne. (Here’s hoping Jerry Hall takes him down in the divorce.)
Whenever you encounter a billionaire it’s always worth asking if the money they are spending is really theirs.
Rupert Murdoch owns The New York Post, doesn’t he? And wasn’t there that awfully suspicious character — Sohrab Ahmari — there? Isn’t the Iranian born Sohrab — a neocon turned Catholic — married to a Chinese woman? Didn’t they live in London? Curious stuff.
And isn’t that Jewess Miranda Devine — the author of the Hunter Biden, Big Tech, and the Dirty Secrets the President Tried to Hide — Australian? What’s going on here? Is this another op?
Murdoch recently got $100m from the Bank of China. Did that color how we should see the efforts to launder the contents of the laptop through the media?
And how should we think about the 10 percent for the Big Guy? Wouldn’t we see evidence for it in Joe Biden living larger than life?
No, it seems obvious that this is black propaganda. Do a hack, splice in some fake things, and sit back and watch America’s partisan media do the right.
Also: Who the hell returns a laptop to any place other than a Genius Bar?
At that level of corruption they are all ultimately agents for themselves.
“It’s a big club and you ain’t in it”
And the military enlistment, one could speculate, was to qualify for a certain security level of comms. NOT to be canceled at a later time...
