Among those few of us who have gone from Donald Trump to Joe Biden, we often discuss how the Trump presidency began once President Joe Biden was sworn in.
The CHIPS Act is but the latest example of what has proven to be a rather transformative presidency. Were this bill passed by Republicans, we’d be hearing about it all day every day and indeed the act was introduced in June 2020 but Democrats refused to let it pass while Donald Trump was president.
For all the talk of Sleepy Joe he sure has been active.
Still, as an OG Trumpista, it’s hard not to notice these obvious victories.
Afghanistan withdrawal and killing of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the architect of 9-11. For all the claims of a botched departure — and let’s face it a lot of people would be perfectly happy if the Afghanistan gravy trail continued — the assassination of al-Zawahiri confirms that the “over the horizon” capability works. General Atomics continues the excellence work of being the CIA’s leading contractor.
An infrastructure deal — all $1 trillion of it.
Biden is even working on the Wall — and it looks like Mexico will pay for it, or at least $1.5 billion of it.
These sorts of deals are very similar to the rhetoric that Candidate Donald Trump promised. What happened?
Trump’s signature success was that he cut a deal with the far right to remake the Court. So far, so good. (Though politically, it remains to be seen. What will happen when overturning Roe is less of a rallying cry? Did the results from Kansas’s abortion proposition provide a harbinger?)
Taking over the Court wasn’t a bad deal but it’s a done deal. Politics are all about what have you done for me lately. Are we really so sure that allowing the Federalist Society to pick and choose the judges was such a good idea?
What did Trump do during his presidency? He farmed it out to his son-in-law, Jared Kushner — a sort of boy wonder, or whiz man.
The slogan for the 2020 campaign was KAG — Kushner Administered Government, I mean, Keep America Great!
No less a figure than Kelly Anne Conway makes the case that Kushner is responsible for the defeat.
Let’s examine Kushner’s government then.
KAG cut taxes … and caused mass migration from blue states to red states. Not that that mattered to the housing barons in Florida and Texas, many of whom were donors to KAG. A California GOP official told me that Californians deserved to be punished with the removal of the state and local tax deduction. Why?
KAG signed the Abraham Accords which permitted transnational criming and intelligence sharing between Middle Eastern dictatorships. It all but transformed Israel from a Western power to a Middle Eastern criminal state. Wasn’t it just as well for all concerned when the alliances between Israel, Saudi Arabia, and UAE were covert? And isn’t it somewhat criminal to shake down Qatar, a key US ally, to bail out your family’s 666 5th Avenue building?
On the subject of criminals, who could forget so-called criminal justice reform? To be sure, some of the hug a thug initiatives predate Donald Trump but his policies certainly made it easier for white collar criminals like his son-in-law’s family.
Is Kushner himself a white collar criminal? Funny you should ask. He sure behaves like one.
There’s a new investigation into WinRed by the Campaign Legal Center. The Campaign Legal Center is definitely deep state as many of the good government groups are.
Despite earning at least $114 million in fee-based revenue, the political fundraising conduit has reported spending less than $2,700 on operating expenditures. The complaint alleges that WinRed has violated campaign finance laws by not completely and accurately reporting its expenses.
Kushner is the polite face of a crime family. He’s nothing special. He’s clearly lying about General John F. Kelly, who tried to restrict Kushner’s security clearance over his ties to Bibi Netanyahu.
Do you think when Jared Kushner or Steve Mnuchin was flying on the taxpayer dime and raising money for their funds that they were thinking about how to make America Great Again?
Is Joe Biden Is Making America Great Again?
Vote Trump, get Kushner. No thanks. I wonder if Weiner’s laptop is somehow involved.
