How To Think About Mayor Eric Adams's Turkish Nightmare
It's time to be the pro-housing mayor--and put New Yorkers first
We had great hopes for Mayor Eric Adams when he first appeared on the scene but it didn’t quite work, did it? He was supposed to be Dave Chappelle, the Mayor, and now his phones and iPad have been seized as part of an investigation.
I sure promise to pretend that Mayor Adams is too close to … checks notes … Türkiye. What’s really going on is that Adams is in league with criminal Orthodox Jewish slumlords who want to increase rents while restricting housing development, while funding Netanyahu. It’s precisely at the moment where the Deep State is most ascendant that the mob interests feel the need to raise rents the most.
Adams is mismanaging the manufactured humanitarian crisis in his city.
We’ve already discussed how there’s a number of Israeli- and UAE-tied contractors out in Texas who are involved in the human trafficking of illegals immigrants from the border to New York in a cynical play to highlight the absurdity of sanctuary cities.
New York is changing its policies around housing but it’s not going at anywhere near the rate it needs to. And while it’s heartening to see them crack down on AirBNB there’s a lot more work to be done.
Just because it’s easier to make a criminal case against Adams for helping the Turks doesn’t mean one shouldn’t be made for all the goodies he does for Israel’s Netanyahu.
Netanyahu, for his part, gets an American mayor explicitly turning to him in a crisis that the human smugglers are encouraging.
Here’s Politico:
“In a guest column from Jerusalem, Adams wrote that his goals for the trip include learning how Israel is able to “absorb and integrate thousands of immigrants,” a nod to the influx of migrants he faces at home.”
Adams is a Turkish asset in much the same way that Menendez is an Egyptian one. Israeli interesting what makes the press and what doesn’t, especially in the New York Times. We’ve already seen them run at least one Israeli influence operation against Matt Gaetz. Why not another against Mayor Adams?
None of this is to excuse the behavior of the Turkish mafia within the US but let’s be serious here about what’s going on — asset disposal.
It’s obviously troubling that Adams helped the Turks build what amounts to a listening post overseeing Turtle Bay but wouldn’t we want to have this place where we can check on it?
A new building could be a welcome addition. I used to visit a friend of mine whose office was in the same building as the old Turkish consulate. Security was very tight and the threats against our Turkish friends were intense. I once saw a fist fight right outside between the Turkish security service and some man.
And maybe Adams was correct to raise questions about why the Fire Department was holding up signing off on the safety of new Turkish consulate.
Daniel Nigro only began fire chief because of the events of September 11th which killed the previous fire chief. We know the NYPD and the Fire Department have had their own corruption problems. Who knows who is right here.
Still Adams would be wise to cut a deal with the U.S. deep state where he allows housing and cracks down on the slumlords — and fast.
It’s a deep state objective to increase housing in American cities as a way of combating climate change. You’ll see mayors get turned throughout America especially in areas where there is abundant water. Everybody wants European cities with American growth.
The next step for the U.S. deep state is to do internal enforcement for the migrants by photographing and DNA sequencing them.
Adams could implement these sorts of things in New York—if he wanted to. But he’s too busy hustling.
