How Much Is The Daily Wire Actually Worth?
Does the Daily Wire really bring in over $200m in revenue?
Things are worth what people are willing to pay for them. But there’s a sucker born every minute.
Trump’s social media app is trading at a market cap of $15B…. and it has revenue of $3.5m. Our former president has gone to extreme lengths — and is selling $60 King James Bible.
The other night — Daily Wire cofounder Jeremy Boreing — made mention that the Daily Wire brought in $220m in revenue last year. He claimed further that they had a one million paid subscribers. My friend Tom clipped it.
Did you hear that? A million subscribers and $220M in revenue last year! Ben Shapiro gets a million viewers a day!
This is simply an astonishing amount of money and it’s very hard to believe. I suspect it’s fake but without audited financials it’s impossible to tell.
To put that number in contrast The New York Times brought in $2.43B in 2023.
One gets the sense that social media sites have become a vehicle for foreign adversaries to bamboozle Americans and indeed we’ve written about Mark Zuckerberg and Ben Shapiro’s unholy alliance and how there was a sort of conservative content monopoly that was created.
Think of X, or Daily Wire, or Truth Social as the enemy’s equivalent of Voice of America. They need to be shut down. The evidence for Ben Shapiro working for the Chinese or the Israeli state is simply overwhelming.
It looks as if that might be happening naturally.
Commentator Candace Owens seems likely to sue over her maltreatment at The Daily Wire. I hope that happens sooner rather than later.
We need to see these fronts for the threats that they are.
We wrote about Steven Crowder earlier.
Now Crowder is facing his own day of reckoning with both his estranged wife and his ex-employee, Jared Monroe.
“This place was and is to this day a workplace rife with sexual misconduct, degeneracy, and aggression,” Monroe said. “The things I saw, the things done to me, and the things I witnessed my employer do to others were disgusting, shocking, and utterly indefensible. I have the receipts.”
